Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Atrium platform (“Service”) operated by Atrium Events (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Atrium is a ticket sales and entry management platform that enables event organizers to create events, sell tickets online, manage guest lists, and check in attendees at the door using QR code scanning. The Service includes:
- Event creation and management tools
- Online ticket sales via Stripe Connect
- QR code ticket generation and delivery
- Browser-based ticket scanning for entry management
- Real-time attendance tracking and reporting
3. Account Types and Responsibilities
Event Organizers
Organizers create and manage events on the platform. As an organizer, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate event information (dates, venues, pricing)
- Fulfilling the event as described to ticket buyers
- Managing refund requests from your ticket buyers
- Ensuring your events comply with all applicable local laws and regulations
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials and volunteer PINs
- All activity that occurs under your account, including volunteer actions
Volunteers
Volunteers access the ticket scanning interface using a PIN code provided by the event organizer. Volunteers act on behalf of the organizer and do not have individual Atrium accounts.
Ticket Buyers
Ticket buyers purchase tickets through event pages hosted on Atrium. Buyers receive tickets via email and present QR codes for scanning at the event venue.
4. Payment Terms
Stripe Connect
All ticket sales are processed through Stripe Connect. When you sell tickets through Atrium:
- Funds from ticket sales are deposited directly into your connected Stripe account
- Atrium never holds or has access to your ticket revenue
- Payout timing is determined by your Stripe account settings
- Stripe’s own terms of service and fees apply to your payment processing
Atrium Fees
Atrium charges a service fee on each paid ticket order as described on our Pricing page. The standard fee is 3% + $0.30 per order (in addition to Stripe’s processing fees). Organizers may pass this fee to buyers at checkout or absorb it. Atrium fees are deducted from the transaction at the time of sale. Fee structures may change with notice.
Refunds
Refund policies are set and managed by event organizers. Atrium does not process refunds directly. Organizers handle refunds through their Stripe dashboard. Atrium’s service fee is non-refundable once a transaction has been processed.
5. Free Events
RSVP-only events with no ticket price incur no Atrium fees. Organizers may create unlimited free events at no cost.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Sell tickets for events you do not have the authority to host
- Conduct fraudulent or deceptive activities
- Sell tickets that violate any applicable law or regulation
- Distribute malware or interfere with the Service’s infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without authorization
- Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Create events that promote violence, hate speech, or illegal activities
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service (including software, design, text, and graphics) are owned by Atrium Events and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Event organizers retain ownership of their event content (descriptions, images, etc.) and grant Atrium a limited license to display that content on the platform for the purpose of facilitating ticket sales.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atrium Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Atrium’s total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Atrium in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Atrium is not responsible for the actions of event organizers, the quality or occurrence of events, or disputes between organizers and ticket buyers.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The offline scanning feature is designed to continue functioning during connectivity interruptions, but we do not guarantee its performance in all conditions.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Outstanding obligations (including fees owed and event commitments to ticket buyers) survive termination.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
